My research is varied, but all spins around the same idea: solving analytical problems. For this I can design a sensor, or develop a material, or implement a new method, all to find a solution to a forensic, clinical or environmental issue that creates a problem. I would like to think we protect people and the environment every time we improve our analytical methodologies to detect explosives, to trap toxins in the environment or to recycle valuable materials from waste. For this I work with companies, government bodies (environment and defence) and international Universities.
